Congratulations to footballer Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah, who have welcomed their second child together. Proud new dad Jamie announced the happy news on Twitter, telling fans: "Over the moon to announce the arrival of our gorgeous little boy on Sunday evening! Mummy and baby doing great! @RebekahVardy #blessed." Rebekah later retweeted his sweet message.

The new baby boy is Jamie's third child. He and Rebekah are parents to 22-month-old daughter Sofia together, while Jamie also has a six-year-old daughter, Ella, from a previous relationship. Rebekah, meanwhile, has two older daughters, Megan 11, and six-year-old Taylor.

Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah have welcomed a baby boy

Jamie and Rebekah announced her pregnancy in July, just a few weeks after they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Peckforton Castle – as featured exclusively in HELLO! magazine.

Shortly before Christmas, Rebekah showed off her baby bump in a series of photographs to celebrate what she said was her final pregnancy.

The couple announced their pregnancy news in July

"I wanted to do some pictures like Demi Moore did for Vanity Fair," she explained to the Sun. "Jamie and I know this will be our last baby and it suddenly hit me that after the birth I will never be pregnant again. I found an amazing photographer, Karis Kennedy, and I went for it. I am so pleased I did.

"Pregnancy does amazing things," she added. "I'm Mediterranean and my body wants to be curvy. At one point in the first few months my bum seemed to be growing faster than my bump!

"Jamie loves the pictures and we are getting a couple of them framed to go up at home."
