They became parents to a beautiful baby boy last month. And to prove how besotted they are over their new bundle of joy, Katherine Heigl and her husband Josh Kelley have been sharing lots of sweet pictures of their growing brood. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Hollywood star uploaded the cutest snap of her son sleeping on her musician husband, who was celebrating his 37th birthday.

In the caption, she gushed: "How @joshbkelley is finishing off his birthday, with sleepy snuggles from his namesake! Could not be more grateful for this extraordinary man and for this extraordinary day that he was born! Happy Birthday to the funniest, smartest, most talented, charming man I have ever met! Oh and he's not too shabby in the Dad department either... is there ANYTHING the man cannot do??!!" Earlier on in the day, Josh - who also shares daughters Adalaide, four, and Naleigh, eight, with the actress - shared an adorable photo of him and his son bonding during a nap. He joked: "Mom caught us nappin on the job!!!" [sic]

The couple welcomed son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr just before Christmas, on 20 December, a rep confirmed to People. Katherine, 38, announced her pregnancy news in June, confirming that the whole "Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family." She added: "Naleigh and Adelaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold, and Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude. This is an incredibly exciting time for us filled with hope, anticipation, and hormones. Well, only I'm filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them."

Katherine and Josh adopted their two daughters in 2009 and 2012. Chatting to People magazine about experiencing pregnancy for the first time, the Doubt star confessed: "I actually prefer the adoption way because I wasn't subject to hormones." She explained: "One minute you're weirdly obsessed with this baby, like, 'Don’t take him out of my sight,' and the next you're kind of blue, you're a little sad and a little freaked out."
