Alex Jones was feeling very sentimental on Tuesday morning. After a long night of breastfeeding her newborn baby son, the new mother revealed she appreciated the large bouquet of red roses she received - no doubt from her husband Charlie Thomson. Sharing a picture of the beautiful flowers on Valentine's Day, she wrote in the caption: "It's definitely not all about hearts and flowers but they were appreciated this morning after a long night of feeding." The popular One Show presenter welcomed her first child with her husband last month. She has since been taking to her Instagram pages to gush about motherhood, telling one follower: "It's the best feeling in the world."

Although Alex has been keeping tight-lipped about her baby's name, the 39-year-old has revealed some details about the birth. Alongside a picture of some congratulations cards, she announced: "So happy to let you know that our beautiful baby son was born on Sunday morning weighing 7lbs11 and with a full head of dark hair. Charlie and I are head over heels in love. A special thank you to the amazing midwives in the Queen Charlotte hospital for everything you did for us. We are so excited and grateful to be in the parent club."

Last week, the Welsh TV star uploaded a candid black and white photograph of her little tot's hand gripping her finger. "My new obsession #soinlovewithhim," she gushed. Alex and her husband Charlie announced their pregnancy news on Twitter in September. Her baby news came just before she revealed her fears that she may not be able to get pregnant during an appearance on This Morning.

"My mum went through the menopause at 44 and that's six years older than me," she explained. "I wasn't pregnant when I filmed the documentary. I was 38 and it was terrifying. I was naive. I knew age impacts your fertility but I didn't realise to what extent." She continued: "Mum and I never talked about it, it never came up. I always wanted a family. Mum never put pressure on me or my sister to have kids. She probably thought I didn't need to know it."
