It's been six weeks since Alex Jones welcomed her first baby. And on Sunday she enjoyed a break in mummy duties thanks to an extra pair of helping hands at home. The One Show star shared a photo on Instagram on Sunday showing her taking a relaxing bath while son Teddy was being looked after by his grandmother. Alongside the image, which shows Alex's toes just about peeking out above the bubbles, she wrote: "The joys of having Granny stay. #timeout #feedingbreak #sundaybaths."

It seems Alex, 39, and her husband Charlie Thomson are enjoying a visit from Charlie's mum, who is no doubt relishing time with her grandchild. Alex earlier shared another Instagram image, this time showing Charlie chatting to his mother while pushing Ted along in his buggy. "Heading home along the Thames with husband, mother in law and little Ted after a lovely day at the #affordableartfair," she told followers.
The One Show star announced her son's name with a photo of his birth certificate
Alex and Charlie welcomed Ted, their first child together, on 22 January, and a few weeks later Alex proudly announced his full name – Edward Alun Burrell Thomson. The Welsh TV star had previously admitted that the couple were struggling with what to call the new arrival. Speaking on The One Show via phone, just four days after giving birth, she said: "We're a bit behind on the whole name thing because we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. We thought, 'When we see him we'll know what he looks like', but actually it's really hard."

Alex did, however, share some details about her baby son, saying: "He was 7lbs 11oz – a lovely weight. It was all very straightforward. Charlie was with me and mum and dad were in the waiting room." Of parenthood, she added: "It's the most wonderful feeling. The last four days have been heaven. We're in this bubble the three of us. It's just the best time."
