It looks like Cheryl won't want to hire a nanny for her newborn baby boy. The Fight for This Love singer, who gave birth to her and Liam Payne's bundle of joy on Wednesday, opened up about her views on motherhood in the Girls Aloud autobiography Dreams That Glitter back in 2009, calling the idea of being a mum "what life is about". She wrote: "Once I've had a child I’m always going to be a mother and that is sacred; to me that’s what life is about. It’s what I’m doing this for – for my future with my family. I want to be at the point where I can take a year, 18 months, off."

Cheryl revealed she doesn't want a nanny

The new mum kept her pregnancy private, and only revealed her baby bump in a photoshoot for a L'Oreal campaign in February. Talking before the birth, a source revealed to the Metro that Cheryl would be expecting her baby in March. "Cheryl is getting very excited to meet her baby," they revealed. "Her due date was mid to late March but she knows there is a two week window on either side, so her baby could be here literally any day now."

Liam has also kept quiet about becoming a new father, but did open up about his relationship with Cheryl, calling her his "dream girl". "Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world and she's absolutely amazing," he told Rollacoaster magazine. "She's been my dream girl since I was younger. She's so ace. She's a wonderful, wonderful person and it's amazing to have someone who can relate to so much of things – someone who's taken greater steps than me. Her solo career was amazing. She’s been in the industry for 14 years now. She fully supports me. We're super happy. It's a very personal, precious time for us. I'm still learning. I'm only 23."
