Kristina Rihanoff opens up about first Mother's Day with baby Mila and Ben Cohen

March 30, 2017

Kristina Rihanoff may have been apart from her own mum on Mother's Day, but the former Strictly Come Dancing star was marking a very special date over the weekend. She celebrated her first Mother's Day as a mum, having welcomed her daughter Mila with partner Ben Cohen last year. Writing in her latest HELLO! Online blog post, the dancer revealed: "This year was my first Mother's Day as a mum. It was so special. I had all the family around me and my gorgeous little girl in my arms. I took thousands of photos and videos!"

Kristina, 39, added: "I can't believe I have this new person in my life. She's my universe, and I can't ever imagine my life without her! I hope all the mums out there had an amazing day. I'm wishing you all the love and happiness in the world, and remember, it's not easy. We're still learning and it's a journey and we're all doing the best we can."

The new mum was spoilt on her first Mother's Day as a parent. She wrote: "I must say it was absolutely incredible to wake up and find a lovely bouquet of flowers from my lovely partner, and a card. And of course seeing a lovely, gorgeous smile from Mila. It was the best day of all!"

Kristina reveals her romantic surprise from Ben

On Mother's Day last year, Kristina was pregnant with her little girl, but she still celebrated in a special way. "Ben gave me a card from my baby bump!" Kristina recalled. "It was really sweet and I'm keeping it for Mila's scrapbook. I was obviously pregnant at the time and was reading so many books about motherhood… What a difference a year makes!"

The dancer and her rugby partner Ben welcomed their daughter in June 2016. Kristina announced her pregnancy live on air while she was taking part in Celebrity Big Brother.
