Alex Jones is certainly creating special memories during her maternity leave! The new mum, who welcomed her son Teddy, full name Edward Alun Burrell Thomson, into the world on January 22, took to her Instagram account on Wednesday to share a beautiful photo of her little boy chilling out in his pram during an afternoon walk in the park. A bright blue sky and blossom trees are in view, with the mum and baby duo taking full advantage of the sunny British weather. Captioning the photo, The One Show presenter wrote: “Long walks in the spring sunshine with Little Teddy is my favourite way to spend the afternoon. I'm going to miss days like this when the time comes. #justthetwoofus #maternityleave#newmother." Fans of the popular presenter were quick to comment on the idyllic snapshot, with one writing: “A walk in the sun with your son makes for two shiny, happy people. X,” while another said: “Enjoy these special moments.” A third advised: “Treasure them my baby is 18 tomorrow.”

Alex enjoyed taking Teddy on a sunny afternoon walk
In a recent interview, with The Mail on Sunday’s YOU Magazine, Alex opened up about becoming a mum at 40, revealing that her priorities have changed now that little Teddy has arrived. She said: “I don’t look the same as I did but I’m all right about that – life isn’t just about me anymore. I don’t care if I’m a bit wobbly or look more tired, because it’s all part of the fun of being a parent; it’s a badge of honour.”

The presenter also addressed questions over when she would return to host The One Show, saying she plans to be back on TV screens later in the spring. “I’ll probably work part time in the beginning. I don’t want to miss Teddy’s milestones,” she explained. The star spoke about her desire to have more children, but said if it doesn’t happen then that’s ok too. Alex said: “It’s very early days but if we did try to have another one and it wasn’t as easy as it was with Teddy, we might think, well, we’ve been lucky enough to have him so we’ll just have the one. Or we might think it’s been so wonderful having him that we’ll go down the IVF route. I don’t know. I do want two children.”

Pancakes have been helping The One Show presenter cope with sleepless nights
And although Alex is very much enjoying life as a new mum, the presenter has revealed that it isn’t all a walk in the park! Last week, she shared with fans a photo of a pile of tasty looking pancakes, captioned: “When only a big portion of blueberry pancakes will do #sleeplessnightscure #verylatebrunch #NCT #newmothers."
