Fans were quick to congratulate her while pointing out that she had won the Australian Open while pregnant. Another added: "Serena Williams is pregnant, congratulations Queen."

Although Serena has yet to announce the exciting news on Instagram, she recently posted a snap of herself spending time with her fiancé on the beach, and captioned the sweet shot: "My only regret is not pointing my toe sorry coach Garry." The pair announced their engagement in late December after nearly two years of dating. Posting on Reddit, the popular forum site co-founded by Alexis, Serena wrote: "I came home/ A little late/ Someone had a bag packed for me/ And a carriage awaited. Destination: Rome/ To escort me to my very own 'charming'/ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle/ At the same table we first met by chance/ This time he made it not by chance/ But by choice/ Down on one knee/ He said 4 words/ And I said yes." Alexis responded to the post, writing: "And you made me the happiest man on the planet."
