Tesco has revealed which Christmas gifts are tipped to be the most popular with children for 2017, and the list includes something for all ages. Garry Lawford, Senior Toy Buying Manager at Tesco, said: "It's the information parents across the UK have been waiting to hear – the must-have toy that many kids will be hoping to get their hands on for Christmas from Santa. We know that picking the right toys for kids at this time can be like the real nightmare before Christmas for many parents, and so our team of experts wanted to offer their help and expertise in helping find what we believe will be the right present.

"While the Big Surprise sits on top of our top 10 list there are other toys for kids of all ages – and the good news is that this year’s selection is less reliant on technical innovation, and more to do with getting children to use their imagination." This L.O.L Surprise Big Surprise ball is filled with 50 surprises for children to unwrap, including exclusive dolls and accessories. This limited edition gift is currently out of stock online, but parents can set up a notification to be alerted when it is available again.
2. Guardians of the Galaxy – 12" Titan 6 Pack, £70 RRP
Fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy films will love this pack of 12" figures of the Marvel Titan Hero series, including Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora. Currently reduced to £35 at Tesco until 15 October.
3. My Little Pony Mega Collection Pack, £60
Inspired by the My Little Pony movie, this pack features six cute pony toys, each measuring six inches tall and featuring colourful manes and tails. The pack includes My Little Pony characters Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Applejack.
4. Carousel Drive and Talk vehicles, £15
Little ones will have hours of fun with these Carousel Drive and Talk vehicles, available in fire engine, ambulance or police car models. The vehicles are controlled via a remote control, and if children speak into the control, they'll hear their voice come from the car.

Lego has always been popular with children, but it is this Lego City Police Station that is set to be its most coveted gift this Christmas.
