Chrissy Teigen has cleared up rumours that she will be giving birth soon, telling Jimmy Fallon that she is five months pregnant. The Lip Synch Battle host was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the pair discussed her pregnancy. Having Jimmy guess how far along she is, he said: "I'd say you're about five months," to which she replied: "That's great. Yes, you got it. I just had to say it because everybody thinks I'm due tomorrow. Nope. Just second baby."
Chrissy smiled while on her way to the chat show
The gorgeous star revealed revealed the gender of her second child on her Instagram in mid-January. Sharing a snap of herself at the Grammys, she captioned the shot: "Mama and her baby boy." Chrissy and her husband, John Legend, turned to IVF after struggling to conceive with their first child, Luna, and Chrissy confirmed that they had also had a male embryo left from their IVF treatment, previously telling Entertainment Tonight that she would "for sure" have a baby boy next. She then later clarified her comments on Twitter, writing: "I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah." She also told InStyle that they chose to implant the female embryo first. "The first little girl didn't work, and then the second is Luna," she said.
John opened up about their struggle in Mr Porter's The Journal, explaining: "We figured eventually we'd have to go into the doctor and see why it wasn't happening naturally. You know, sometimes it's just harder for some people than for others. We're just happy that we were able to do it with our doctor. He's [doctor] never really told us that there was something specific that he could identify was the reason why it just didn't work out naturally. We did what we had to do."
