The website collated 100 floral themed names and cross-referenced names with forebears.io to reveal which are the most influential.
Coming in at number one is the name William, like the heir to the British throne, Prince William.
You may not associate the moniker William with flowers but it actually gets its floral association from Dianthus Barbatus, which has the common name of 'Sweet William'.

The second most popular floral baby name is Rosa, which means 'Rose'. Rosa is a girl's name with Spanish, Italian and Portuguese origins. Strong figures like the First Lady of the civil rights movement Rosa Parks and political philosopher Rosa Luxemburg come to mind.
In third place is the girl's name Susan of Hebrew origin meaning 'Lily flower'. This name is shared by a diverse range of famous women, from American Suffragette Susan B Anthony to the rock singer Siouxsie Sioux whose real name is Susan Janet Ballion.
The next spots go to the names Rose, Veronica and Kamal (an Indian plant), followed by Cynthia, Rosemary and Iris. The moniker Flora is the tenth most popular name. See the full list below...
