Keith Urban reveals he stepped back from work for Nicole Kidman and their daughters

The couple have been married for 16 years

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have an incredible family bond and they're determined to keep it that way. 

The pair share two daughters, Sunday and Faith, and are close to their moms, siblings and other relatives too. However, their busy careers often mean that carving time out to be with their loved ones can be a juggle.

But the country music star and Hollywood actress are determined that their crafts don't impact quality family time and that is why they've made a bold decision.

Keith opened up to The Daily Telegraph  in a new interview and revealed the reason he quit The Voice and opted to tour around their home country of Australia instead. 

The star said he and Nicole want to take their children to visit their grandparents and  family for the holidays.

He then confessed: "My mum just turned 80 and Nic's mom, who knows how many Christmases we get with anybody ever but particularly with our moms, I really cherish that chance to spend Chrissy with them and our family in Aus."

Keith and Nicole want to spend Christmas with their extended family 

Keith then added: "Having the kids in there is great but the extended family as well because we don't have any family in Nashville so it is incredible to have all of the cousins and aunts and uncles and everybody, it is just amazing."

It's certainly been a busy time for the pair as Keith has had to make up for the postponement of his tour during the pandemic.

The pair adore their two children together 

His US leg will wrap up on 4 November and the following month he'll kick start the Australian tour.  

"It has been just a banger of a year," he added. "This year already feels like two years rolled into one, probably just for how much we have been touring and the fact that the contrast was a-year-and-a-half of a very slow dormant touring period and then just suddenly everything wide open."
