Stacey Solomon jetted off on her first holiday as a family of seven on Friday – but her chosen destination left many of her fans divided.

The Loose Women star and her husband, Joe Swash, share three children – Rex, two, Rose, 15 months, and Belle, two months. Stacey is also a mum to Zach, 15, and Leighton, nine, from previous relationships.

Stacey shared a family snapshot on Instagram after they arrived at Heathrow Airport and revealed they were all jetting off to Abu Dhabi, which didn't sit well with some of her followers.

"Love you to bits Stacey, but I wouldn't give this horrendous countries regime and horrendous human rights violations any of my money," replied one.

A second said: "Why are all these social media celebs going to the UAE with such appalling human rights and inclusivity abuses? Makes me sad for modern civilisation."

There were others though who wished Stacey and her family a pleasant holiday. "Welcome to Abu Dhabi! Hope you guys all have fun in the sun," said a third. Another added: "SO exciting!!! Have the most incredible time making the most magical memories."

In her caption, Stacey wrote: "Here We Go. Off on our very first adventure together… Rose & Belle's first plane ride and ours as a family since before covid when Rex was a few months old.

"We are all so excited to make some special memories. I think I was most nervous about the journey there but we've made it safe & sound and still sane."

She concluded: "A massive thank you to the lovely passengers who were so chatty & sweet to us & the kids and also thank you to kindest air stewards who played with Rex & Rose so nicely & made them feel so comfortable @etihad you have the most amazing staff and captain Rexy can't wait to fly us home."
