Prince George is set to take on an exciting role at the coronation of his grandfather King Charles and Queen Camilla which is occurring on May 6. The future King is set will adopt an especially important part during the event alongside seven schoolboys, with all named as Pages of Honour who will attend their majesties during the coronation service.

The nine-year-old is one of four Pages of Honour to the King, along with the children of family friends, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, Nicholas Barclay, 13, and Ralph Tollemache, 12. But what will the young royal and his peers wear for the grand affair?

Pages of Honour traditionally wear a knee-length scarlet coat with gold trimmings over a white satin waistcoat and lace jabot — a decorative ruffle or frill falling from the collar-white breeches, white stockings and black shoes with buckles. They also carry a small ceremonial sword.

A departure from his school uniform and smart navy suits, styled by none other than mum Princess Kate, Prince George's sophisticated attire will ensure the royal is looking tip top for the highly anticipated occasion.

Prince George's new role was celebrated by royal fans, yet many have raised questions as to the involvement of his relatives Prince Louis and Prince Archie. Given the King and Queen's desire to include their families at the coronation, why is it that Louis and Archie have not also been given official roles?

Quite simply, it's likely down to their ages. Prince Louis, who won over the nation with his cheeky appearance at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, is just four years old and, given the sheer scale and importance of the event, the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales no doubt felt it would have been too much for the youngster.
