Just over a week after actress Lea Michele had confirmed to fans that her son, Ever, had been released from the hospital, the two-year-old has unfortunately been hospitalized again.

The Broadway star first shared on March 22nd that she had to miss her performance on Funny Girl that day, explaining that she would miss both the matinée and evening show because of her son's "scary health issue."

The actress shares son Ever with her husband, businessman Zandy Reich, who she married in 2019.

Lea took to Instagram Stories Wednesday, exactly two weeks after her son's first hospital stint, to share the difficult update along with a photo of her son laying in his crib.

"Today was a hard day. As parents we have to be strong for our kids," she wrote, adding: "But sometimes you just want to break down and cry. (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I chose hospital bathroom.)"

When she first told fans of her son's sudden health scare, she said on Instagram: "I'm so sorry, but unfortunately I will be out of [Funny Girl] today. We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a scary health issue that I need to be here for."

Five days later, she took to Instagram Stories again, this time from her dressing room, and said: "I'm really happy to be back. It's been a really long week and we're still not out of the woods completely with our son, but he's headed in a good direction and we're really really grateful."
