Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black made the surprise announcement on Wednesday that they had welcomed a second son, Phoenix, into their lives.
The pair kept the secret that they were due to welcome a second child, only making the announcement a week after their son had been born. However, there was a subtle hint that the duo were expecting that went completely unnoticed. Alongside his diving and knitting, Tom has also been an avid YouTuber, sharing plenty of moments of his life from preparation for the Olympics to sweet family moments with Dustin and Robbie.
However, the 28-year-old stopped uploading out of the blue eight months ago. Usually, a surrogate mother waits between eight and 12 days before confirming they may be pregnant, with further tests to confirm.

It's reasonable that Tom and Dustin discovered the happy news eight months ago, leading to Tom to stop vlogging in order to make sure that he didn't accidentally spill the secret with his fans before the pair's baby arrived. With plenty of videos taking place in his own home, eagle-eyed viewers would easily have spotted any baby stuff accidentally left out.
Since the arrival of Phoenix, Tom and Dustin have been inundated with support from their fanbase, and Tom melted hearts during the week when he shared some stunning photos of the growing family.
One snap saw him and Dustin looking lovingly at their eldest son, Robbie, who is looking down at his baby brother asleep in Tom's lap. The second photo is an adorable close up of the newborn sleeping in Tom's arms whilst wearing a hand-knitted jumper, no doubt created by the Olympic diver.
Captioning the post, the father-of-two wrote: "PHOENIX ROSE BLACK-DALEY. Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he's just perfect."
Of how his eldest son is feeling, he sweetly remarked: "Robbie is loving being a BIG BRO!"

"He's so amazing. He's three and a half now, coming up four. It's so special to have a little buddy that you can just take with you to do things and see things through a new set of eyes", said Tom. "I'm loving doing things I would have never been able to do without our son - things that perhaps may look a bit weird doing as an adult - but if I take my little buddy along I can get away with anything!"
