The royal family was out in full force on Easter Sunday, putting on a united front as they attended the first Easter Mattins Service at St George's Chapel since Queen Elizabeth II passed away.
The likes of King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were beaming as they arrived at the Chapel in the spring sunshine, along with several other members of the family. Though one royal was noticeably absent from the occasion - Lady Louise Windsor.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's 19-year-old daughter is often present at official royal engagements, and rarely misses the opportunity to attend church with her family.
Yet on Sunday, Duchess Sophie and Duke Edward's daughter didn't attend the annual church service, despite her younger brother James arriving at St George's Chapel with his parents.
While the palace has not confirmed why Lady Louise was absent from the poignant royal occasion, it seems most likely the teen was busy studying for her Semester Two exams at St Andrews University.
According to the University's curriculum, students enter 'Revision Week' from 10 April, followed by two weeks of intensive examinations that end in May.
A studious Lady Louise may have wished to stay out of the spotlight during the potentially stressful exam period, instead remaining in Scotland to use the University's library facilities ahead of her assessments.

It was a bittersweet beginning to the academic year for Lady Louise in September last year, who earned her place at the prestigious University after achieving the required grades in her A Level results.
In a statement released earlier this year, a royal spokesperson announced: "Having received her A Level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English."
The young royal's success, however, was no doubt tainted by the sad loss of her grandmother in September, which saw Lady Louise leave her first week of university to be with her family.
