Congratulations are in order for Natalie Pinkham and her husband Owain Walbyoff. The couple have welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Willow Mirela Walbyoff, who weighed in at 7lb 14oz and was born via C-section. The couple welcomed their daughter in the morning of 20 June, and shared the happy news exclusively with HELLO! magazine.

A spokesperson said: "Mum and baby are doing exceedingly well and everything went as planned. Natalie, Owain and Wilf are over the moon at the new addition to the family."

In a poignant nod to the documentary Natalie shot about Romanian orphan Mirela in 2013, the couple decided to give the middle name to their own child. Tragically Mirela, who was finally rehomed in December 2013 after spending almost all of her life in institutions with no place to call home, died in March 2014 after Natalie's Channel Five documentary A Home For Mirella.

She added: "I only did the pregnancy test to rule it out because I honestly thought…this can't be why I'm feeling a bit funny! When I saw it was positive, I nearly fell off my chair!"

Natalie also revealed that in the early stage of her pregnancy she had been expecting twins but sadly lost one of the babies.

"The first two months were a real roller coaster. We had this strange phase of not knowing if we there would be two babies or one or none." They were told by the doctor that only one of their babies would make it.

Natalie wished her husband a happy Father's Day from hospital

"So it was a really emotional time," said Natalie of the experience, revealing that her mother and great-grandmother were also twins whose siblings did not survive.

She added: "It's nature's way and it is sad. My dad put it in a lovely way and said: 'One has made way for the other.'"However Natalie is looking forward to the future as a mother of two. "I am just loving being a mum. This last year has been the best of my life, now we've got another exciting year to come. I couldn't be happier."
