Supermodel Kate Moss, 39, has finally revealed the secret to her youthful looking complexion. In a recent interview, the new face of St Tropez disclosed that it isn't just a tan that keeps her skin glowing – her beauty regime also involves plenty of ice and cucumber.

A problem faced by many women, Kate said that she dislikes waking up "looking tired and puffy". To overcome this, there's a simple trick that anyone can try. "I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face," the supermodel told Stylist magazine. "It tightens everything making you look and feel instantly awake.""It is a bit Joan Crawford," Kate added, but insisted that "it really works!"Although Kate Moss is one of the top earning supermodels in the industry, this savvy skincare trick shows that you don't have to empty your wallet for a photo-ready finish to your skin.Cucumbers are, in fact, often used in many creams and serums because of it's active level of silica – an organic mineral which helps to strengthen the connective tissues in skin.In Kate's trick, the cucumbers work alongside the ice to cool and tighten the skin to diminish the appearance of pores and fine lines. Cucumbers also reduce the level of water retention in the skin which make them a spend-friendly alternative to eye creams when de-puffing dry and tired peepers. The model and mother of one also revealed her secret to maintaining a beach-ready body during her hectic modelling schedule.Kate admits that, before heading to the shore, she always ensures to "do plenty of Pilates" and keeps her skin supple with regular exfoliation. The mother of one also said that she stays fully protected with plenty of SPF before topping up on her tan on the beach.
