Brooklyn Beckham has revealed why it paid off to listen to mum Victoria in a tongue-in-cheek snap shared on his Instagram account. The 16-year-old posted a black-and-white selfie during a trip to the dentist, and credited his style icon mother when he received praise for his pearly white smile.

"So today I went to the dentist and he said I have really clean and strong teeth," Brooklyn wrote in the caption to his 6.7 million followers, beaming for the camera while wearing large black protective glasses as he lay in the dentist's chair. "Thanks, mum for all those years of dentist appointments and braces."
There's no doubt that Brooklyn is close to his mother, often joining her at glitzy parties, as well as regularly hitting the front row of her New York Fashion Week show to cheer her on. When Victoria celebrated her birthday in April, Brooklyn took the opportunity to praise his mum in a sweet, heartfelt message.

The teenager has been following in his mother's footsteps, turning his attention to the world of fashion in recent months. However, unlike his mother his main focus isn't fashion design, but photography – and made his dreams a reality when he shot the campaign for one of Burberry's latest fragrances.

He's always been vocal about his career ambitions, and told Miss Vogue: "I love football, but I am also very passionate about photography and film. I'm keeping my options open right now."
