Daisy Ridley gave fans a candid look at her skincare routine

Initially celebrating that she almost has two million followers on the social media website, Daisy first posted a throwback photo of herself at the Oscars afterparty, looking as glamorous as ever with her brunette hair swept back into an elegant chignon, teamed with a hint of eyeliner and coral lipstick.

"ALMOST 2 MILLION FOLLOWERS WHAT?!" she captioned the photo, before adding: "I'm currently sat writing an essay covered in spot cream drinking mint tea but no one wants to see that so instead here's me looking all fancy pants at the post Oscars Vanity Fair pardeeeee!"

Moments later, the British beauty had a change of heart, and decided to celebrate by embracing her complexion while she used a cream to help her get rid of her spots – although she quipped that she had still used a photo filter.

One user had shared an image which featured a screenshot of the actress in a scene from Star Wars, alongside a speech bubble reading "I can’t believe the unrealistic expectations I’m setting for young girls. Who cast me anyway? Don’t they know real women haves curves?".

"'Real women' are all shapes and sizes, all ethnicities, all levels of brave, have families, don't have families," Daisy replied in the comments. "I am a 'real woman' like every other woman in this world."
