Cindy Crawford never fails to wow with her radiant, flawless complexion, and now the 50-year-old has delighted her fans by sharing her skincare secrets. The supermodel has spoken candidly about the best tips she has picked up during her career, as well as revealing her daily routine.

Cindy Crawford has shared her skincare secrets

Cindy confessed that it was at the start of her career that she began to consider the importance of maintaining a good skincare regime, after she suffered from sunburn ahead of a photoshoot.

"I showed up tan to a photoshoot when I was 19 and was told that they couldn't cover up a sunburn," she told Redbook magazine. "I've protected my skin from the sun ever since."

Nowadays Cindy is hailed as a beauty icon by her legions of fans, and even recently launched her own skincare range, Meaningful Beauty – and it was collaborator Jean-Louis Sebagh who helped to cement her interest in skincare.

She revealed the products she uses in her daily skincare routine

"The other aha moment came when I met Jean-Louis Sebagh," she explained. "He gave me a face mask that I applied before my wedding, and it later became part of our skincare line.

"My daily regimen is all from Meaningful Beauty: I use the Skin Softening Cleanser and the Antioxidant Day Crème SPF20. At night I smooth on the Crème de Sérum. I also get microdermabrasion once a month."

Having celebrated her 50th birthday earlier this year, Cindy continues to dazzle her fans with her youthful complexion. However, the mother-of-two admitted that she doesn't have a particular trick, but rather tries to follow an overall healthy lifestyle to stay looking and feeling as good as possible.

"There's no secret!" she revealed. "Looking good is about eating right, getting enough sleep, and drinking lots of water. Also, you have to get moving.

"I work out several times a week, and I hike and ride bikes. I also eat healthy, but I don't deprive myself. I live by the 80 per cent rule: I try to be 80 per cent good, 80 per cent of the time."
