Kim Kardashian has always been open about her struggle with the chronic skin condition psoriasis, which has left her with dry itchy patches of skin across her body. And now the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has revealed that the condition has worsened following her traumatic armed robbery in Paris in October.

The mum-of-two, who made her return to social media earlier this week following a three-month absence, told fans she has now developed the skin condition on her face.

Taking to Twitter, Kim wrote: "Wait why am I now getting psoriasis on my face?"

The 36-year-old was first diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder in 2010 after developing an itchy rash across her legs. It can flare up and get worse during periods of stress, which Kim has experienced a lot of over the past few months due to both her robbery ordeal and husband Kanye West's hospitalisation in November.

Kim Kardashian revealed her psoriasis has flared up on her face

"Everyone with psoriasis has different symptoms; sometimes the rashes are itchy, sometimes they're flaky. Mine flares up from time to time for different reasons," Kim wrote. "Sometimes I just feel like it's my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?"

Kim follows a strict diet which reduces the risk of a breakout and also applies cortisone cream to her skin every night. And she has the full support of her mum Kris Jenner who was also diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 30.

Cara Delevingne also suffers with the autoimmune disorder

They are not the only famous faces to suffer with the autoimmune disorder; Cara Delevingne has also revealed that she developed psoriasis a few years ago when she was going through a stressful time in her career.

"I had no concept of saying no to anyone, ever," she said. "After a while I got sick and got a condition called psoriasis. I felt disconnected from myself, but my agency simply shoved me into a doctor's surgery, where I got cortisone shots, but – in reality- I wanted someone to stop me, but nobody ever did."
