The Dawson's Creek star had a custom formula created for her by popular beauty brand Kiehls, and she couldn’t wait to show off the results. Taking to her Instagram account, the mother-of-one shared a photo of her holding up various serums, while her face looked gorgeous with a glowy, sun-kissed base. She captioned the photo: "I’m so excited to try my new personalized skincare serum! Thank you @kiehls for my glowing custom formula, mixed by me at home #ApothecaryPreparations."

The mum-of-one, who posted the photo over the weekend, looked to have tried out her new beauty products on Tuesday, the day she made an appearance at the FAO Schwarz pop up store in New York. This was the first time the actress had stepped out following a new haircut, and heads all turned in her direction as she stepped out in the city. Katie's new look, which enhances her pretty facial features, perfectly suits the star, who revealed at the event that she went for the chop for an upcoming film role.
Speaking to People, she said: "I'm getting ready to play a woman in a movie called The Doorman," she shared. "She's an ex-Marine and she's a warrior. I'm excited. I'm training. I'm sore!"

Katie – who shares 11-year-old daughter Suri Cruise with ex-husband Tom Cruise – turned to celebrity stylist DJ Quintero to complete her transformation, and he said they had worked together to find a balance between "something feminine but kickass".
"She really wanted it to move on camera so it was actually like three haircuts. We did it over the weekend and it kind of got shorter and shorter and shorter," he explained, before adding: "She's working really hard. Her body looks incredible."
