Kim Kardashian created her new fragrance to capture the essence of gemstones after using crystals to heal from her Paris robbery ordeal.The Keeping Up with the Kardashians beauty was held at gunpoint in her hotel during Paris Fashion Week last year, and as she recovered, friends began bringing over crystals as gifts. "I kind of got into healing crystals more recently," she explains to Extra. "The last year, when I took about a year off after my whole Paris incident, everyone would come over and bring me healing crystals and I didn't really get it at first.
"And then I really started to research it and Google it and a friend of mine took me down to this crystal warehouse in Culver City (Los Angeles) and it was just crystals everywhere and they explained what everything meant to me and it just clicked then for me." Kim now believes crystals and gemstones contain healing properties, and the 37-year-old is such a fan, she has even created her new fragrance, Crystal Gardenia, as a nod to her love for the magical mineral rocks.

"I wanted a bottle that... just looks and feels like a healing crystal, something that would be calming and have good energy for you," she shares. Kim also salutes her late father Robert Kardashian through the new perfume. "Yeah, my dad's favourite flower was gardenia so he would always have it... I just remember coming home from school and seeing this dish that he had right when you walked in and there was always gardenia flowers just floating in it and I loved when he had those," the star recalls.

She adds, "All my fragrances, there's three that are launching, all have gardenia in it, so that's my favourite scent." Kim's new scents Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Citrus and Crystal Gardenia Oud are now available for purchase online and at the Violet Grey store in Los Angeles.
