Chanel has done it again, fresh from getting us all in a tizz over the new 3D mascara, the brand has now dropped three brand new perfumes - and they’re all unisex. Shaking things up, Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge has unveiled his latest creations - three fragrances targeted at both men AND women. Great, another excuse for the man to pinch your beauty products, and this time he can get away with it.

BROWSE: The best wedding perfumes for your big day

So what can you expect? Think fresh, think clean and think citrus. We have been told each of the fragrances centres around “freshness” and the collection is designed to evoke the “morning dew evaporating in the first rays of sun.” Sounds so romantic doesn’t it?

Inspired by three of Coco Chanel’s favourite places - Deauville, Biarritz, and Venise - you’ll want to wear these all summer long. Each of the scents come in a sleek bottle (but of course!) that will stand pride of place on your dressing table. Or his dressing table - it’s up to you.

The new bottle conveys the “effortless grace of ballet dancers” and consists of “thin, lighter-than-usual glass” which makes it perfect to take away on holiday with you. You will find not one, but two double C signs on your fragrance - one engraved on the top and the other inside the bottle.

Meet the three fragrances below…

Paris Deauville

Inspired by Coco Chanel’s fresh start in Deauville, and where she opened her first fashion boutique. This is an aromatic-citrusy fragrance that possesses “lively, natural, radiant freshness” inspired by the Normandy coast. Aromatic green basil notes are combined with Sicilian orange.

Paris Biarritz

In 1915, Gabrielle discovered Biarritz and chose this to be the destination where she would open her first couture house in a villa opposite the casino. This is the freshest of all the scents and contains the sparkling fruity notes of Sicilian tangerine and lily-of-the-valley.

“I wanted to create a sensation on the skin as if each ingredient were soaked with water,” Oliver states.

Paris Venise

Venice was love at first sight for Gabrielle Chanel in 1920. It was here that she she was shocked and saddened by the death of her beloved Boy Capel. This scent contains notes of neroli, red berry and ambery accords of vanilla.

The collection of scents will launch 13 July - see you in the queue.
