With access to facialists still in limbo, finding ways to take care of our skin at home is still the priority. So, when Emily Ratajkowski popped up on Instagram in April and revealed a few of her skincare secrets, we’re glad we took notes.

One of the most interesting beauty products in her regimen was a K-Beauty cream infused with snail mucin. Yes, actual mucus from a snail. And it’s now available on Amazon for only $17.

“My skin freaked out at the beginning of quarantine,” the Lying and Stealing star said in her Instagram Story at the time, before adding that one of the products that turned her skin around was COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It’s an anti-aging essence that helps minimize pores and even and brighten the skin’s complexion.
The snail mucin in it aids in skin repair, hydration, brightness, and tone, and helps serums further penetrate your skin. It’s also enriched with panthenol to lessen wrinkles, breakouts, and scars.

The 29-year-old mom-to-be isn’t the only one raving about it. Beauty lovers are still singing its praises - so much so that it has a 5-star rating on Dermstore, a perfect score. “The most impressive thing I've noticed with this product is how it evens out my skin tone, and it has sped up the healing of acne and acne scars," one user claimed.
Another person wrote, “Favorite essence. This product leaves my skin glowing! It has also helped with hyperpigmentation.” The Essence is a budget-friendly find at $23, but it can never hurt to save a few bucks when you’re trying out a new beauty product. So, we tracked down the Essence on Amazon for less.

As for what Emily is doing these days to take care of her skin, we have no doubt the snail mucin essence is involved. But she’s also using sheet masks. The actress announced in November that she had taken on the title of creative director for Loops Beauty, which sells a variety of sheet masks to take on skin concerns.

“So proud of these masks and so excited about my title of creative director @loopsbeauty,” she captioned a photo that showed her wearing one of the brand’s sheet masks.
Given the way Emily’s skin glows in every bare-faced selfie she posts, we’re willing to try any beauty product she mentions.
