The legendary Kate Moss just got even more legendary – since she's admitted that she now regrets her noughties diet mantra, "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" – and that she's glad the fashion industry is embracing a variety of body types now. Good for you, Kate! During an interview on NBC show Megyn Kelly Today, she said of the phrase: "My friend used to say it, because you know, we were all living together, and we'd go for the biscuits and go: 'Oh, nothing tastes as g...' It was a little jingle."

She also added: "There's so much more diversity now. It's right. There's so many different sizes and colours and heights – why would you just use one size model to represent all these people?" We hear you, Ms Moss.

Kate first coined the phrase back in 2009, and was criticised by many for promoting poor body image and even anorexia amongst the many young women that looked up to her. When asked by WWD if she had any life mantras, she said, "There are loads of mottos. There’s 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'. That’s one of them." She added: “You try and remember, but it never works."
She has admitted she regrets her comments
Model Katie Green was one of those to speak out against her words, saying at the time: "There are 1.1 million eating disorders in the UK alone. Kate Moss’s comments are likely to cause many more. If you read any of the pro-anorexia websites, they go crazy for quotes like this." At a time when criticism of fashion's size zero movement was in full force, Kate's comments were particularly shocking for many.

Later in the NBC interview, Kate revealed what her real life philosophy is - 'Never complain, never explain.' She said: "Just get on with it. You can't do anything about what people think of you, or if they lie, or if it's not true what they say… it doesn't matter. Because if you know who you are, then you can get through." Now that's a supermodel suggestion we're happy to take onboard.
