Victoria Beckham launched her inaugural Ready-to-Wear line in 2008 at New York Fashion Week, unveiling a curated set of 10 dresses that prioritize craftsmanship, silhouette, and fit.

She showcased the collection herself to an exclusive circle of fashion journalists and buyers at the Waldorf hotel, detailing the meticulous design and structure of each piece. Each dress was sequentially numbered—a tradition that continues—and the collection was released in limited editions at nine prestigious stores worldwide. She quickly won over the once-apprehensive fashion set. "I can’t quite believe I’m writing this, It was a very impressive, accomplished collection, with not a single dud," wrote Lisa Armstrong, "True there were only 10 designs, in various colours, each adhering to the aesthetic the designer has favoured in her own wardrobe of late: slender calf-length fitted dresses with raised waists. But it was the fabrics (silk, wool and organza) and the attention to detail that impressed."

Her eponymous label is famed for its smart tailoring and flattering draping, but these styles aren't all that the celebrity-loved label is known for. The British brand is also brilliant at creating stylish eyewear and structured coats. The brand self-identifies as "the modern woman’s true wardrobe", priding itself on creating pieces that are "versatile and wearable yet rooted in a distinctly luxury sensibility that ignites the imagination". Even the royal household has recognised Victoria Beckham's work, in 2017 she was awarded an Order of the British Empire for her services to the fashion industry.

Here's everything you need to know about Victoria Beckham's fashion brand...

What brand does Victoria Beckham own?

Unsurprisingly, the brand was set up by Victoria Beckham herself back in 2008. She first launched a womenswear line consisting of figure-hugging dresses featuring statement zips, in organzas, silks and taffetas. Some critics were initially doubtful, but the former Spice Girl has impressed some major industry names over the years.

Where is the Victoria Beckham store?

In 2014, a year after debuting her e-commerce site, Victoria Beckham expanded her fashion empire by opening her flagship store at 36 Dover Street in London’s chic Mayfair district. The space, a three-story testament to modern elegance, was designed by the celebrated London architect Farshid Moussavi. It encapsulates the designer's ethos of refined materials, skilled craftsmanship, and contemporary design in a boldly sophisticated setting. This versatile interior was crafted to host a dynamic array of installations and events (she even hosted her office Christmas party there), enhancing the brand's immersive retail experience.

Which celebrities wear Victoria Beckham?

Some famous fans of the label include Eva Longoria and Meghan Markle – both close friends of the fashion designer – but they're by no means alone in their appreciation for the cult label. Other celebrities who have worn pieces by Victoria Beckham include Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Kate Winslet.Plus, who could forget the recent wedding of Victoria and David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn to heiress Nicola Peltz? The mother-of-the-groom wore a silver satin dress by her own label, and also dressed various members of the wedding party including model Mia Regan, the girlfriend of her son Romeo, and journalist Zanna Roberts Rassi.

Where is the Victoria Beckham fashion show?

In 2018, to celebrate the decade since the launch of her label, Victoria Beckham moved her runway show from New York to London Fashion Week. She then said 'cheerio' to London and moved the collections to show at the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week in 2022.

Barrio, a seasoned power player in the fashion scene, held the reins as the design head at Ferragamo and boasts significant stints at major labels like Acne and Loewe. Her move to Victoria Beckham signalled at the evolution of this iconic brand.

What should I buy from Victoria Beckham this season?

You can't go wrong with a pair of Victoria Beckham's pleat trousers, but here are some other items you can’t leave off your radar this season...

  1. 1/7

    The Trousers

    Alina Tailored Trouser In Black

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: Style these trousers with a fitted white blouse and sleek heels for a polished, sophisticated look. The patch pockets add a chic, functional touch.

The Alina boasts a classic 70s-inspired style with a modern twist. The super-high waist and flared leg creates a flattering silhouette.

  2. 2/7

    The Bag

    Puffy Chain Pouch With Strap

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style this bag with a neutral-toned cashmere sweater and relaxed jeans for a casual yet chic ensemble, perfect for weekend outings.

The brand's signature Puffy Chain Pouch has a soft, slouchy look that's both stylish and practical. The  nappa leather and gold chain detail, inspired by one of Victoria’s vintage watch straps, adds a luxurious touch.

  3. 3/7

    The T-shirt

    'My Dad Had A Rolls-Royce' Slogan T-Shirt

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style it tucked into high-waisted leather pants with a statement belt and chunky boots for an edgy look, or keep it casual with denim and trainers for a relaxed day out. Its relaxed fit makes it versatile and effortless.

I love the 'My Dad Had A Rolls-Royce' T-shirt because it's playful and has VB's personal touch that sparks conversation. Made from soft, organic cotton, it's comfortable and hilariously stylish.

  4. 4/7

    The Dress

    Sleeveless Rouched Jersey Dress

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style this dress with metallic sandals and delicate gold jewelry for a chic, elegant look. It's perfect for both day events and evening gatherings, making it a versatile addition to a wardrobe.

The dress boasts a body-skimming fit and luxurious stretch jersey that hugs in all the right places. The gathered detailing adds a sensuous touch, and the asymmetric hem keeps it playful.

  5. 5/7

    The Belt

    Frame Buckle Belt

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style it by cinching it over a flowy maxi dress to add structure or pair it with high-waisted denim and a crisp white shirt for a refined, professional look. It's perfect for transforming simple outfits into statements.

Victoria Beckham herself wears this buckle belt on repeat, it's a versatile classic that elevates any outfit with a subtle twist. The sleek leather gives it a ultra-luxurious sheen.

  6. 6/7

    The Shoes

    Peep Toe Stretch Jersey Boot

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style them with a black mini dress and a tailored blazer to let the boots stand out, or pair them with a sleek midi skirt and a fitted turtleneck for an ultra-chic look.

VB's go-to boots embody her bold sophistication. The thigh-high, elasticated design makes them a statement piece.

  7. 7/7

    The Blazer

    Peak Lapel Jacket

    Victoria Beckham

Editor's note: I'd style it by layering it over a crisp white tee and pairing it with tapered trousers and loafers for a relaxed office look.

I love Victoria Beckham's jackets and blazers for their contemporary twist on classic tailoring. The earthy tone and oversized silhouette of this makes it versatile and modern.
