Somehow, Hailey Bieber's latest street style moment has got us considering loungewear as a credible outfit option – who'd have thought it?

By and large, we've come around to the idea of loungewear. Following the major impact that the pandemic had on our wardrobes, we totally understand the appeal. Comfy, quality pieces that you can wear around the house are still very much a part of our wardrobe repertoire, even nearly two years on since the last UK lockdown.
However; each to their own, but we reckon loungewear should be confined to the comfort of your own living room. There's just something a little *too* effortless about wearing those sorts of pieces in public – the vibe screams 'can't be bothered' and let's be real, if you've spent all day lazing on the sofa before heading out in the same outfit, you're hardly going to be looking your best.
But when Hailey Bieber enters the mix, we sit up and pay attention. Her latest street style moment has got us thinking that perhaps rocking loungewear outside the house isn't such a sartorial sin after all.

The supermodel stepped out in Los Angeles on Monday post-pilates wearing a matching set by luxury loungewear label Aritzia, consisting of a taupe crop top and flared leggings (yes, flared leggings, an add to cart moment if there ever was one). The 25-year-old has been all about the 1970s silhouette recently, sporting a sleek black cargo pair at Paris Fashion Week just a couple of weeks ago.
Hailey styled up her casual neutral co-ord with a boxy faded leather jacket by Worn Vintage – one of her most-worn outerwear labels – but kept things super low-key with her accessory choices. The supermodel opted for ecru cross-over shearling sandals by Prada, The Row's Iris nubuck tote and her much-adored Balenciaga oval shades.
