Anya Taylor-Joy has become something of a tour de force when it comes to red carpet dressing.
Her most recent appearance on Sunday at a special screening and conversation for her latest project The Menu, held at The 92nd Street Y in New York proves just that. Styled by Ryan Hastings, the Queen's Gambit star looked every inch the movie star in a black silk slip dress, a signature 90s style, which she paired with strappy stiletto heels and an elegant black coat with silk lapels.

Anya Taylor-Joy has been promoting her latest film, The Menu
For her The Menu promo tour, she has been relying on a crack beauty team which is made up of makeup artist Georgie Eisdell and hairstylist Gregory Russell. Not afraid to take risks, her tresses were styled into half-up half down centre parted Botticelli waves which lent the look a pre-raphaelite edge.
For lipstick she accentuated her distinctive cupid's bow with red lipstick. As the face of Dior Addict, it's no surprise that the brand has become her go-to for beauty products. Back in March she revealed her favourite red shade from the french heritage maison, "There are so many shades to play around with which I adore. I am an actor, I love characters and I love being able to flip between all of the different colours. I think I have a particular tendency towards Dior 08, it’s a really beautiful brick red," Anya explained to British Vogue, "I find that a red lip is always the easiest way to make yourself look put together. It looks like you’ve made an effort and it makes you feel confident."

Anya wore a classic red lip to finish the look
Anya has been hitting the red carpet circuit hard recently, the Dior ensemble she sported on Thursday evening to attend the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards consisted of a avant garde metal hoop structured skirt serving a modern neo baroque silhouette, paired with a matching lace bralet. A few days before the Anglo-Argentine actress wore a cobalt blue leather and latex dress which hails from Alexander McQueen’s spring/summer 2023 collection to the London premiere of her new film.
