Indulge in an immersive Alessandro Michele experience

Though restricted travel is no longer an issue for most of us, a quick trip to Florence isn't something widely accessible. But fear not, the Gucci Gardens are now available to view virtually, for free.

The concept store is located near the famous Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy: known for its breathtaking architecture, a copy of Michelangelo's David statue, and the Fountain of Neptune. Though the surroundings in your living room may not be as extravagant, you can now view the whole Gucci exhibition from anywhere in the world.

A look inside the exhibition space

The garden was created in 2018, designed to link the past, future and present of Gucci, and create "food for thought on universal themes and on creativity itself". The virtual tour allows visitors to completely indulge in an immersive experience of the house’s campaigns over six years, at the creative realm of Alessandro Michele.

Users can view the exhibition step by step, floor by floor. The Gucci Garden Archetypes – which was opened last year to mark the brand’s 100th birthday – take over the first and second floor. Inspired by the brand’s 15 (as of 2021) campaigns under Michele’s creative direction, each campaign has its own room – with state-of-the-art technology, abstract decor and glass display cabinets of extraordinary outfits, used to create a breathtaking multi-sensory experience.

The multi-sensory experience can be enjoyed from home

From a television flow showing the #GucciBeautyNetwork, to a display case of 1400 butterflies for the #GucciCollectors F/W 2018 campaign, each room is spectacularly different, communicating Michele’s creative expression as powerfully as possible.

Information about each campaign is available to read online, or listen to as an audio book, so virtual users can listen and learn about the creative inspiration and design direction, whilst observing the room.

The exhibition is inspired by Alessandro Michele's tenure at the Italian luxury heritage brand

The ground floor is occupied by a bookstore, a boutique and a restaurant, all of which can be viewed with the utmost intricacy. Take a peek inside the Gucci Osteria a three michelin-starred restaurant with exquisite decor that is equally as decadent as the menu. Or take a wander around the breaktaking boutique, stocked with products only available to purchase from the Garden.

If only the exclusive boutique items and Michelin-star meals were included in the free virtual tour…
