'Sheer delight' perfectly sums up how we reacted to spotting the return of the naked dress trend on several SS23 runways. Think ultra-fine organzas, barely-there meshes and slinky silks galore. This season, the "less is more" approach is reigning supreme and a daring glimpse of skin is bang on trend.

Chanel went for the geometric approach, favouring cool-girl chevrons, whereas Valentino's naked dresses were infused with texture via delicate lace, and there are even plenty of celebrity converts who have been getting in on the visible lingerie action recently.

Kendall Jenner is a case in point. The supermodel rocked up at the LACMA gala looking utterly striking in a mesh dress by emerging designer Burc Akyol. The see-through gown featured a long-sleeved mesh bodysuit and a liquid-like metallic silver low-rise skirt and Kenny looked nothing short of spectacular.

Another naked dress devotee is Emily Ratajkowski. The My Body author partied the night away at W Magazine's 50th anniversary party in a lattice mesh maxi by Tory Burch and we haven't stopped thinking about it since.

OG naked dress trendsetter Kate Moss harked back to her iconic 1990s sheer slip moment when she stepped out at Diet Coke's 40th birthday bash in the most enchanting plunge transparent gown. Only Kate could get away with that level of daring (yet again, we might add), and, frankly, we salute her audaciousness.
