The Princess of Wales wore an engelic ensemble and glittering jewels

The event held at Buckingham Palace, was in honour of South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa, who is visiting for two days as a guest of the royal family.

Although there is much that can be said about Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara which she wore, (at one time owned by  Queen Elizabeth II) and of course her stunning embellished cape-sleeved ivory dress, it was her Cinderella moment that really got us talking.

Kate stepped out in Gianvito Rossi's princess worthy pumps

The princess opted for a show stopping pair of bedazzled pair of silver and nude mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi, "A true Cinderella shoe, the Rania pumps from are lavishly embellished with clusters of Swarovski crystals," the brand explains, "Made from mesh with suede inserts, they perch atop 105mm stiletto heels. Wear yours with a gown to your next gala." The shoes retail for £1,850 and come in several different colourways.

It’s not the first time Kate has worn the Milan based designer’s glittering shoes, back in March she donned them on her last night in The Bahamas during her royal tour. She wore them with a turquoise satin dress by couture wedding dress designer Phillipa Lepley and accessorised with matching Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery comprising of a delicate necklace and drop earrings and the 'Blue Satin Hayworth Clutch Bag' from Lulu Guinness – which immediately sold out.
