Take it from Amal Clooney, a sparkling dress is the ultimate festive statement.
Dialling up the glamour is de rigueur of course for the 44-year-old Lebanese-British human rights lawyer. Amal donned a stunning bespoke Valentino gown, dripping in sequins and embellishments for The 45th Kennedy Center Honors held at The White House in Washington, D.C.

Amal dazzled in custom Valentino with matching accessories
Supporting her husband George Clooney who was one of the night's honorees, the fashion icon teamed her sparkling off-the-shoulder get up with an equally dazzling clutch. Not stopping there, the also sported drop earrings and a cuff bracelet that glittered with diamonds.
The event celebrates those in the performing arts for their lifetime of contributions to American culture. They have been presented annually since 1978, culminating each December in a gala celebrating five honorees in the Kennedy Center Opera House. The event was hosted by President Joe Biden who attended with wife and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

This wasn't the only glamorous gown Amal sported for the prestigious accolades, she actually doubled down on Valentino opting to wear another gown from the Italian luxury Maison the night before. The Clooneys attended a pre-dinner with Amal opting for a caped gown in the maison's signature ruby red hue. The dress hails from the spring 2022 couture collection, and the bardot neckline, column style gown was complete with a long sweeping train which George was seen 'tending to' on the red carpet. She again teamed her ensemble with tonal accessories, matching a red box clutch to her look.
While we may think that Amal is the biggest George Clooney red-carpet supporter, that accolade may actually go to Julia Roberts who wore the ultimate tribute to her Ocean's 11 co-star.
Styled by Elizabeth Stewart, Julia's custom voluminous black Moschino gown was emblazoned with photos of George (yes, really) all over the dress. The photos of George were bordered with Baroque-style gold picture frames, the hilarious ode to George was clearly the brain-child of Moschino's creative director Jeremy Scott which Elizabeth confirmed on her Instagram. The sartorial support of her long-time friend was not only a humorous touch to the evening, but proved that Julia isn't afraid to experiment on the red-carpet.
