Last night’s British Independent Film Awards gave us plenty of red carpet looks to scrutinise, including Florence Pugh’s show stopping pink ensemble, and Daisy Edgar-Jones’ opulent embellished suit. However, Jenna Coleman’s elegant but daring glam was one of our favourites – bringing a touch of hollywood glamour to a contemporary look.
The Sandman actress looked incredibly opulent in a Giambattista Valli ensemble. The floral bodysuit encapsulated a typical Giambatista lace design, whilst the draping shoulders on the bodice enhanced the elegance of the look. The fitted-corset style made it ultra flattering.

Completing look no.45 from its FW22 collection according to Giambattista’s website, the bodysuit was paired with the semi-sheer tulle skirt, giving a contemporary feel to her glamorous look. She wore tights underneath, presumably to keep her slightly warmer in this crisp weather (and to lessen the view of her derriere through the transparent material). She rounded off the ensemble with black open-toe Louboutins.

Hair and accessories were key in bringing old-school glamour to this look, with Coleman’s silky mid-length tresses made sleek, with a typical Hollywood glam side parting. The elegant look curled under at the ends, shaping around her face and sitting elegantly on her bare shoulders, created by celebrity stylist Christian Wood.
One side of the hair tucked behind her ear paved the way for a pair of stunning emerald drop earrings from Bulgari to glisten. A soft, dewy make-up look created by Valeria Ferreira completed the opulent look perfectly. Where jewellery was pared back, Coleman's subtle dark french tips added some interest to the hands, created by her regular nail artist Sophia Stanway.

Jenna has had glamour on her sartorial agenda a lot recently. Most recently she stunned in a floral floor length gown from Erdem’s Resort SS23 collection for a supper at the Sessions Arts Club in London.
Coleman’s recent look was to celebrate the best independent film makers in the business, chosen by her and other stellar actors as members of this year’s BIFA main jury. She posted a video to her Instagram page of her fellow jury members, including Daniel Kaluuya, Hailey Atwell and Kosar Ali.
