A month always filled with an array of occasions – the period after Halloween and the beginning of the festive holiday season, where an overlap of the two plus everything in between seems to fill social calendars. This year was no different, and there's no city better than London to host the most sophisticated soirées.

Claridge's Christmas Tree Party

Does anybody do Christmas trees like Claridge's? As with every year, the iconic hotel had a guest list as opulent as their decor for the annual Christmas tree unveiling. This year’s iconic tree was designed by Sandra Choi for Jimmy Choo. The sculpture named ‘The Diamond’ was unveiled in the presence of a glamorous group of guests, including The Marchioness of Bath, Emma Weymouth, Sienna Miller and Lady Violet Manners. The event contained all the glamour of Jimmy Choo combined with the timeless art deco of Claridges. Ever wanted to step inside a diamond? Sandra Choi does, therefore visitors of the sculpture can actually step inside the tree which is made up of reflective mirrors and pulsating lights. What a gem.

The event may officially signify Europe’s top horses, but the list of people on the guestlist is filled with invitees who are just as exclusive. The 32nd Annual Cartier Racing Awards was held inside the ballroom of the prestigious Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday 9th November. The black tie event celebrated with the most esteemed horse-racing aficionados for the 32nd year running. Autumn steeped through the decor with dark cherry and burgundy flower arrangements, complemented by an equally as inviting sit-down supper menu. Society belles such as Zenouska Mowatt, Eliza Manners and Davina Cadogan rubbed shoulders with the world’s most illustrious trainers, could they have been getting tips for next year’s ladies day?
