There’s a lot we could learn from Zoe Saldana.The Avatar actress is becoming evermore versatile with her sartorial style. In the last 24 hours she’s given us two incredible looks that prove she isn’t just trying out new looks, she’s experimenting with them, too. And we are mega fans.
Recently, Saldana donned this dramatic tailored look, beginning Hello! Fashion’s watchful eye for what sartorial approach she’s going for next. This was a different look from her previous feminine aesthetic. She wore head to toe Gucci, sporting a patent red maxi skirt, a shirt tucked in complete with a slim black tie, and a grey boxy blazer over the top which gave shoulder pads in the 80s a run for their money.
Now it seems that the 44-year-old has experimented with finding a middle ground between ultra masculine and super feminine, by adding hints of both styles to her recent look.

Saldana looked magnificent in monochrome at last night’s Avatar: The Way Of The Water press conference in Seoul, South Korea.
She sported a pair of wide leg black trousers – a style in all tailored dress enthusiasts' wardrobe. But the satin style and dramatic slits added a breath of femininity, making the look super elegant. Saldana paired the trousers with black barely there heels and a delicate white lace cami. Not leaving the look too feminine, she paired with a more casual oversized shirt with the sleeves rolled up, buttons undone. The shirt also had a wide shoulder silhouette, but a subtler one than her top notch Gucci look.

The From Scratch star also treated us to a magical Miu Miu look on her Instagram grid this morning. Expressing her femininity agenda, she posed in the dazzling look whilst playing Emmy Meli’s hit I Am Woman over the top. Saldana simply captioned the post “#woman”. The diamante skirt and top set is reminiscent of the kind of 1920’s outfit worn when not wearing a flapper dress. Saldana’s old-school inspired look was rounded off with monochrome bar shoes – the ultimate 20s shoe. The look is the epitome of: The Great Gatsby set in 2022 and containing a similar calibre of socialites.
FYI - The era is considered a huge turning point in women’s fashion, where clothes (much like Saldana’s outfit) became less fitted, and Chanel channelled masculine tailoring, with a first look at the ‘power suit’.
Zoe Saldana has officially added ‘fashion muse’ to her list of accolades.
