Forget the classic "new year, new me" trope, because it appears that the major life decisions are coming early this year. Rather than waiting until January to start the next chapter, 'tis the season to go blonde, according to actress Jenna Coleman. And we are 100% here for it.
The 36-year-old has been spending the days leading up to Christmas making the last of her party season appearances and on Monday night she came through with a look that stopped us in our tracks. The Victoria star, known for her signature brunette bombshell look, shook things up entirely by unveiling her new blonde locks on the red carpet.

Attending the press night performance of "One Woman Show" at London's Ambassador's Theatre, Jenna looked radiant in a tiered prairie-style midi dress, cult-adored Batsheva's Kavita design. The show, for which Jenna congratulated writer and performer Liz Kingsman within a post shared on her Instagram Stories with her 1m followers, is about "a woman stumbling through her 20s in a fiercely honest, darkly comic way".
To mark the occasion, Jenna wore a romantic colour-block dress which featured a black velvet bodice and was supplemented with a ruffled collar and matching cuffs. The actress styled her vintage-inspired piece with a footwear choice that added a contemporary textural twist – patent ankle boots by Valentino.

Upping her accessory game to the next level, the star of BBC's The Serpent rocked a black version of Chanel's 22 bag – very much on the larger end of the scale for a red carpet bag, and for that we applaud her – alongside a pair of gold linked hoop earrings.
For her outerwear, Jenna opted for Reformation's Lester design, a black and white checked coat with cosy faux fur lapels and matching cuffs, and for the finishing touch, Jenna paired her new blonde tresses with a punchy red lip that felt suitably festive.
After Bella Hadid also switched up her tresses recently and went blonde for winter, we feel like it’s now high time to stage our own hair makeover before the year is up, the race is on…
