Jenna Ortega is undoubtedly the coolest kid on the block right now. She’s the muse for our revived gothic fashion fantasies, the latest viral TikTok dance choreographer (yes, she choreographed that iconic dance scene in Wednesday herself), and our dark rendition of Mia Regan – 20 years old, a Gen-Z style icon, sporting ethical fashion brands with a new, choppy haircut. Now Ortega appears to be adapting her Wednesday Addams style agenda and making it her own, proving she’s the goddess of gothic.
Her stylist Enrique Melendez (who we must thank for a multitude of Jenna’s jaw dropping looks), posted a photograph to his Instagram grid last night with yet another all-black outfit which is guaranteed to cause searches for a 'black leather jacket and matching skirt set' to skyrocket.

The 20-year-old who plays the eponymous protagonist in Wednesday gave her dark Addams style a major upgrade, wearing the magnificent jacket and skirt set from futuristic brand Courreges. Posing on a neatly made bed, Ortega wears the jacket with just the collar fastened, allowing a mini black bralet to peek through, whilst the mini skirt was practically a belt (move over, Diesel).
This sheer style seems to be a look Ortega is loving right now, as she’s been adapting the see-through trend to make it her own. She showed the same bralet in an epic semi-transparent Dolce and Gabbana dress on Tonight with Jimmy Fallon on Friday. The dress also gave a major shoutout to Nevermore Academy with its oversized collar and cuffs and a black tie.
She paired her cool Courreges look with semi-sheer Wolford tights and a pair of black calf high, block heel boots that embodied a cool lace-up pattern from concious fashion brand Sylven – one of the pioneering labels to embrace using vegan apple leather. Hopefully sustainable fashion is another trend Jenna can trailblaze…

Finishing off her edgy agenda was her new choppy haircut, giving her gothic style an added touch of punk with a shoulder length trim, plenty of layering and some mega bangs. Responsible for the new-do was David Stanwell, who shared the look to his Instagram saying “@jennaortega you are the vibe ?” our sentiments exactly.
We love that Jenna is coming into her own with an individual take on the sartorial agenda she is now so widely recognised for. The hashtag on TikTok #wednesdayaddamscosplay, which had 139 million views has amassed to 190 million in less than two weeks, and is only going to keep on growing. The Jenna Ortega effect.
