When it comes to exuding refined elegance, Princess Charlene of Monaco is something of a style expert. She and her husband Prince Albert shared this year's version of their annual Christmas card and for royal fashion devotees, it was as though the 25th had come early. The pair were dressed to the nines alongside their twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques, who celebrated their eighth birthdays earlier this month, making for a seriously stylish family photo.

Backgrounded by a twinkly Christmas tree, the family looked in excellent spirits as they returned to their usual festive setting – last year they bypassed a photograph, instead opting for a seasonal sketch in its place.
But the 2022 edition of the Monégasque royal family's Christmas card, taken by staff photographer Eric Mathon, certainly didn't disappoint. Princess Charlene looked unmistakably chic in a sleeveless evening gown which featured a plunging V-neckline and a floor-length flowing circle skirt. The 44-year-old adorned her décolletage with a selection of glistening jewels to offset the drama of her short crop and richly defined eyes.
The sartorially skilled royal, who married Prince Albert back in 2011, made another stylish appearance last week when she was joined by her husband and their two children at the Court of Honour at the Prince's Palace. The family indulged in some festive cheer by distributing presents and sweets to the young children of the principality. The annual event, one of Monaco's long-standing traditions, was started during the 1960s by Hollywood screen star-cum-royal icon Princess Grace, Prince Albert's mother.

Princess Charlene looked characteristically chic in a deep teal cape coat which featured a sleek collar and geometric pattern detailing above the hem. The princess kept cosy by layering her stylish outerwear over the top of an understated black long-sleeved dress, gloves and a pair of long black boots.
We can't wait to see what's next on Princess Charlene's winter dressing agenda…
