Forget the clichéd 'New Year, New Me' notion – because in 2022 the transformations are coming in thick and fast before we've got anywhere near the 1st of Jan. Earlier this week Bella Hadid showed off her new dirty blonde locks while chilling in Aspen, with actress Jenna Coleman following suit just a day later, debuting her light blonde tresses on London's red carpet circuit.

Another famous face who has recently chosen to shake things up in the hair department is supermodel Emily Ratajkowski who revealed her striking new look on her Instagram Stories in a series of posts shared with her 29.7m followers.
However, the 31-year-old didn't appear to have received the blonde memo of the moment, instead marching to the beat of her own drum and opting for jet-black. Granted, EmRata's latest look is a little less permanent than those of her counterparts – but we are still utterly captivated.
The My Body author donned a glossy raven black wig at her friend's festive gathering, coming through with an unbelievably retro It-girl hair moment that genuinely stopped us in our tracks.

EmRata's not-so secret beauty weapon featured a hefty block fringe and voluminous shoulder-skimming flicked bob, a look that felt utterly 1960s. She was giving Priscilla Presley-level root volume with a dash of Sophia Loren bounciness (think Operation Crossbow), and we are 100% here for it.

The supermodel teamed her vintage-inspired hairdo with a holly berry red long-sleeved top (yet again, proving the square neckline's unrivalled ability to flatter), a metal-plated choker and a pair of ultra-tight leather trousers that would have turned any self-respecting biker positively green with envy.
In the words of EmRata's pal who was responsible for taking the mirror snap, "You're welcome".
And to this season's yuletide soirée fancy dress queen, we still have so many questions, but what we know for sure is that we're super into it.
