Nicola Peltz was one of the many fashionista’s to embrace the trend which encompassed everything we loved about the 1990s, for pretty much the whole of 2022. Her plethora of headbands, witchy mini dresses, retro denim and wraparound sunglasses gave Y2K lovers plenty to feed their nostalgic sartorial appetite.
Now, Brooklyn Beckham’s wife has proven she’s taking the trend from one year to the next, by sporting the ultimate beach party look and channelling her beloved 2000’s style.

In an enviable beach setting with her husband and best friend Selena Gomez, Peltz wore a bubblegum pink paisley print bandana, adding a hint of Barbiecore to her look. Perhaps she took styling advice from her in-laws Victoria and David Beckham, who both bandana looks back in the 90’s. We also think Mia Regan took styling tips from David when sporting her epic Miu Miu football boots. Who wouldn’t if our in-laws were as cool as theirs?
She paired the bandana with a pair of wraparound sunglasses – the same ones we saw her wearing on Christmas morning, as she so adorably modelled on herself and her beloved Naunni. You can decide who wore them better.

Her ensemble was finished off with a plain white vest top which covered her orange bikini. If you want to recreate her look, you could go high-end with Prada’s coveted white vest of last season, or go high street with Zara, like Kate Middleton did.
She finished the look with large thin gold hoop earrings that would have 2000’s Jennifer Lopez shaking in her boots.
Her holiday ensembles have been nothing short of epic. Though 90’s vibes dominated her daytime looks, she matched with Selena wearing iridescent Valentino mini dresses to see in the new year, which might just have been the pièce de résistance.
