Kylie Jenner is the latest celebrity to jump on the bleached eyebrows trend

Bye bye brows…

January 5, 2023

Kylie Jenner is the latest of a crop of brave beauty lovers to try the bleached brows trend, which looks set to reign in 2023.

The reality-star turned beauty mogul, shared photos of herself with her 377 Million followers (that’s roughly the population of the United States btw) showing off her new avant garde beauty look with the simple caption, “where we going ?” as she sat in the back of her luxury vehicle.

Kylie isn't afraid to experiment with her beauty looks

The entrepreneur paired the brows with an outfit straight out of the Julia Fox playbook (another bleached brow fan but more on that later.) Her bustier top seemed to be made of frayed black denim trousers with waistband visible. She kept things Kylie however with her dramatic liner and glamorous 90s prom updo.

Bleached eyebrows have become a major trend in fashion circles, trending as far back as 2016 when Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Lily Aldridge all rocked major bleached brow makeovers at the Met Gala. Since then the trend has been gaining momentum. Only recently (in the height of an experimental phase which also included a micro-fringe) Nicola was rocking a bleached platinum brow. We couldn't help but admire the actress' audaciousness – bleached brows are not for the fainthearted. Likewise Julia Fox has been rocking the bleach brow look, with mixed reviews.

Nicola Peltz is also a fan of the trend

Another fan of an experimental brow is Iris Law. The model kept her brow game on point, quite literally, at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival when she sported two shaved wedges in both of her eyebrows. The trend-setter's look is likely to catch on with Gen Z and is a very easy one to copy at home, providing you have a steady hand.

The controversial trend feels more daring and fashion forward than the current feathered looks that are dominating the beauty agenda, so we applaud Kylie on her bravery.
