If the question was “which sartorial muse would you crown street style Queen of 2022?” The answer would undoubtedly be Bella Hadid. Her fashion-forward styling of athleisure, everyday basics and casual-chic runway looks are second to none. And it seems Emily Ratajkowski is joining the many masses of us taking wardrobe inspo from Bella as she adapts a look donned by her fellow supermodel last year.

Emily wore the cropped suit from Coperni
Em Rata stepped out in New York yesterday, taking the blazer and skirt suit to a whole new level. The bluey-grey tweed set from Coperni’s autumn/winter 2022 collection creates a flattering silhouette with its cropped blazer and ultra mini skirt. On the runway Coperni styled the set with knee high socks and pointed black ballet flats, keeping the feminine agenda flowing right down to the toes. Emily however, took a leaf out of Bella’s book and chose ‘elevated street style’ as her approach, pairing with crisp red and white New Balance trainers.
There were subtle differences in the way the two accessorised their ensembles which honoured their signature styles, though both Bella and Emily wore these sets in winter, telling us that to hit supermodel status, a prerequisite must be ‘is be able to withstand obscene levels of cold with very little clothing and look incredibly effortless whilst doing so’...
Both supermodels put their individual stamp on the ensemble

Bella decided to add an extra layer with her look and wore sheer tights under her skirt and socks, whilst Emily’s trainers were more subtle than Bella’s, who wore luminous red Adidas sneakers.
Sunglasses are obviously at the top of a fashionista’s accessories agenda, regardless of the weather. Last year Bella opted for a Y2K inspired look with red sunglasses paired with a braided ponytail, whereas Emily stayed true to her chic-cool agenda and wore black cat eye shades with her brunette tresses left loose.
It appears ‘chic-cool’ hasn’t always been at the top of Emily’s sartorial schedule, as she posted throwback photos to her Instagram yesterday, signifying she (like many of us) went through an indie sleaze phase.
Iconic either way.
