Last week, fashion fans couldn’t stop talking about Rita Ora’s lingerie inspired New Year’s Eve outfit that she sported to promote her upcoming single You Only Love Me. Not one to shy away from sartorial experimentalism, the all black ensemble was the epitome of daring, giving goth-glam a super sultry upgrade.

We shouldn’t really be surprised at Rita’s fearlessness, as her fish-gill make up and see-through Nensi Dojaka dress at the Fashion Awards 2022 set the bar incredibly high for her appearances thereafter.
Love it or hate it, it looks to be a 2023 trend that is here to stay, as Rita isn’t the only one to be using her underwear as a fashion statement right now. Hailey Bieber wore a bodycon black Mugler number with a built-in thong last week, whilst Dua Lipa dazzled in a diamante dress with a bright white thong on show.
