Emilia Clarke shines in Chanel at Sundance Film Festival

The actress attended the premiere of her latest film, The Pod Generation

January 20, 2023

While attending the 2023 Sundance Film Festival premiere of her latest film The Pod Generation,  Emilia Clarke opted for a bedazzled head-to-toe Chanel look. The two piece co-ord was bedecked in shimmering double C’s, the maison’s signature insignia.

The Game of Thrones actress paired the set, which hails from Chanel’s Resort 2023 collection, with sheer denier tights and satin black Chanel pumps.

Joined by her co-stars and the film’s director Sophie Barthes. Clarke walked the red carpet at the acclaimed annual Utah based event on 19 January. The film, which  is scheduled to be released this year is an upcoming science fiction romantic comedy film written and directed by Barthes. It tells the story of a New York couple's wild ride to parenthood using a new tool developed by a tech giant, Pegazus.

The actress has been quiet on the promo front recently but that’s all set to change following the premiere of her latest project and following a major health scare last summer. Back in July 2022 the star revealed that parts of her brain are "no longer usable" after she suffered a brain aneurysm in her twenties.

The actress, 35, shared how lucky she feels to be able to communicate and "live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions," after the aneurysms in 2011 and again in 2013.

"The amount of my brain that is no longer usable — it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions," Emilia told BBC's Saturday Morning.

"I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that… "Strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second, it’s gone,” she continued. "And so the blood finds a quicker, a different route to get around but then whatever bit it’s missing is therefore gone."
