If your crop tops are packed tightly in storage with the rest of your summer wardrobe, take them out immediately, because Rita Ora said so.

Right now it’s her world and we’re just living in it. The singer sensation has been hot on our sartorial radar for a few months now, since she caught our attention at Fashion Awards 2022 wearing prosthetic fish gills on her face (yes, literally).

Rita had the ultimate winter street-style moment

As much as she loves a sheer dress, she’s also a fan of another 2022 trend – baring her midriff. Rita nailed this look in the ultimate David Koma mermaidcore ensemble last month, and this week she proved the revealing silhouette isn’t going anywhere for 2023.

Now the 32-year-old has schooled us on wearing a crop top (if you dare in this weather) with a blazer and leather trousers – a uniform you’ll probably find scattered across your wardrobe.

Ora wore a white peephole crop top, layered with a tailored black pinstripe blazer. The crucial detailing in this concoction is the structured shoulders and wide lapels. The succinct tailoring elevates this look, paired with the white stitching on her black straight leg trousers and chunky suede heeled boots, create a modern monochromatic ensemble.

She opted for chunky silver bijouterie to complement the chain on her shoulder bag, and wore a grey tonal snood for some extra warmth… *Google’s weather a warm neck keeps abdominals from feeling the cold*.

Accompanying Rita’s fish gills to the Fashion Awards last year was one of Nensi Dojaka’s coveted sheer dresses. She then elevated the trend and wore a lingerie inspired lace number to promote her new single You Only Love Me. Finally, proving that lace and visible lingerie is her new party season uniform, she sported a stunning see-through purple lace dress by Rodarte to the Golden Globes pre-party.

This year she’s delivering new music and a new style era. It’s not even the end of January and we’re already obsessed.
