In every romantic scenario on the planet, flowers are used to symbolise feelings of love and desire for somebody special, therefore Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to go all out on an even more brilliant bouquet.
Why buy flowers for Valentine's Day?
“Flowers have long held rich symbolic significance; in the Victorian times, the language of flowers was used to send very specific messages through a bouquet,” explains Appleyard London, “Choosing a flower with meaning adds an extra special touch to your Valentine’s gift.”
Flower trends for Valentine's Day 2024
In the fashion department, the world may be hooked on the simplicity of minimalism, Jo Reason, Director of Brand & Range at Bloom & Wild, predicts a surge in hyper-colour bouquets for 2024. This includes hot pinks, peachy tones, and lilac flowers with lime foliage. She also predicts natural-looking bouquets with a mixture of dried stems and feathery foliage such as pampas grass and eucalyptus will be on the cards.
So whether it’s for yourself or a loved one, why not treat them to the most opulent bunch of flowers possible, from some of the best luxury florists around.
