Laura Whitmore has always been a style muse. From sustainable styling hacks to dopamine dressing to designer opulence, she provided ample style inspo during her time presenting Love Island that we all wanted to recreate.
Since halting as host of the ever-popular show, Whitmore’s style has taken a darker turn. Although she still makes red carpet appearances in her signature bold style, it appears that a black two-piece paired with a bright red lip has become her go-to uniform.
WIN: The ultimate Valentine's Day Gift: Win a Lulu Guinness clutch worth £495
We’re only 6 weeks into 2023 (seems like NYE was a lifetime ago, right?) and Laura has schooled us on styling a black blazer and trouser combo with plenty of layering options and various accessories. Whatever the occasion or your personal style, the 37-year-old has smashed it with her elegant agenda.
Laura Whitmore at the Lulu Guinness Valentine's Dinner
On February 7 she nailed styling a patterned long-sleeved shirt with a suit.
Whitmore attended the Lulu Guinness Valentine’s Dinner on Tuesday at Home House – a private members club in Marylebone – wearing a voguish velvet black suit. She opted to wear the single breasted blazer fastened, with a navy and white shirt underneath adorned with red dots. She had the shirt collar buttoned all the way up and her blazer cuffs pushed up to let her shirt sleeves shine.

She paired the straight-leg suit with plenty of gold bijouterie and the coolest birdcage clutch bag from Lulu Guinness’ collectable collection.
Opt for chunky buttons and metallic court shoes to make a statement
Fancy winning yourself a Lulu Guinness clutch? Enter our competition to be in with a chance.
Last week Laura elevated her black suit style and gave it a partywear makeover for the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Party. She wore a blazer that made a statement with chunky gold buttons with a hint of bralette peeping through the jacket, tapered trousers with metallic gold court shoes. She wore a necklace that draped down the plunge neckline and opted for a muted-toned red lip to let the outfit do the talking.
A black two piece and red lip is her signature uniform
And if your personal style is somewhere between the two: not quite buttoned-up shirt but not quite chunky buttons and gold courts, Laura’s Babylon UK premiere outfit is a great middle ground. She kept the bralette base but donned one with straps for some more interest and less pure plunge. She also opted for a classic single breasted suit with a cropped skinny leg fit and peep-toe black boots.
Alongside ruffles and pastel colours, a black blazer and trousers are also on our current style agenda.
